SIMON GOLDBERG ( 1913-1985 ) Primarily a sculptor, with works represented in numerous museums and instituions in France and beyond, Goldberg also had an active interest in painting and engraving, contributing illustrations for six or seven deluxe books, all issued in limited editions. He seems to have been equally at home with landscape and with figurative work, the engravings for Henri Bosco's 'L'Enfant et La Rivière' showing a particular lightness of touch and attention to detail. |
